Demänovská mountain 1304 m above sea level

Who likes me nice views, let them read on! In the Low Tatras, apart from Chopok and Ďumbier, we can find Demänovská Mountain with a height of 1304 m directly above the village of Pavčina Lehota. The hike to the mountain is characterized by moderate difficulty with a section of steep ascent. There is something to admire during the ascent - there are interesting rock formations by the hiking trails, from which wonderful views of the Liptov Basin, the Western Tatras or the Choč Hills open up in places.

After the ascent you have the opportunity to admire the surrounding nature. There is also a bench with a table at the top, where you can spread out, refresh yourself and gain strength. The peak is wide in area, consisting mainly of mountain meadows and rocks.

The route starts at the bus stop at the Bystrina caravan park, from where we follow the yellow tourist sign, initially along the edge of the forest to the steep slope, which we climb along a serpentine road to the crossroads below Demänovská hora. We proceed further to the top of Demänovská Mountain. We descend back to the crossroads below Demänovská Mountain. On the left side we will be guided by a yellow tourist sign, on the western side of the ridge we will reach Iľanovského sedlo, where we will continue along the green tourist signs. These will lead us to the Vyvieranie valley, where a transitional section follows only along the river surrounded by rock walls. In winter, this valley is closed. We continue through the Demänovská valley, on the right side of the Demänovka river we return to the village of Pavčina Lehota.
