20th anniversary of the founding of Pension Mária. Yes, in December 2002 we opened the doors to our cozy rooms for the first guests. A lot of wine flowed through our bar and we were more comfortable walking the road to our success with you. We are glad that thanks to you we were able to celebrate this milestone.Since 2002, the Mack family has been doing everything to ensure that you experience the most beautiful vacation. We gained experience by working in Austria and Switzerland, where we understood what people need on vacation. We try to build a product typical only for us. The priority for us is the atmosphere of "calm" and therefore the entire complex is accessible only to accommodated clients.
Pension Mária began writing its history in 2002, when the reconstruction of the old family house into a pension began. Four years later, the extension of the floor and attic of the boarding house as we know it today began. We value our guests very much and it is important to us that they feel as good as possible, so we decided to build a congress room in 2015. Along with the congress room, we also built a swimming pool with a wellness area, where you can try swimming a marathon with us against the current. So shoo, shoo to the swimsuit! Due to the need to expand services, we have also modified parking spaces and grassy areas for relaxation. The need at the time to cover the lack of accommodation capacity in Liptovský Mikuláš and its surroundings led us to the idea of expanding capacity. In the course of 2019, the construction of the annex apartments began, which we successfully completed this year. Even the difficult two-year covid period did not stop us and we finished the last stage of the apartments.
The first point of our goal for a green future is currently underway. We are installing photovoltaics, with which we plan to cover 30 percent of electricity consumption.
We cannot forget even small improvements. We are increasingly reducing mini gastro packages and switching to large packages, preferably in sustainable packaging. We sort waste in detail and strive for digitization. Over time, we want to stop using printed materials and plastic loyalty cards. We are already with our Family Club in the stocard application.
